What is Antique Furniture Restoration?
Furniture Restoration is bringing the damaged piece back to it’s original condition.
To restore both the beauty and function of the piece by following a set of standards & practices.
*This is the highest level of specialized repair work which is typically reserved for highly sentimental & monetary value furniture.
Restoration work may include all or some..
Woodworking Repair - Structure, stability & all damaged wooden components.
Woodworking Reproduction - missing wooden parts are remade.
Refinishing - either cosmetic touch ups or a full refinishing.
Turnings or Carvings - to replace heavily damaged or missing parts.

*Restoration work is often confused with and are not the same as furniture upscaling and furniture painting.
**Will restoration work decrease the value to an antique? Yes, if incorrect methods are not followed!
*** A true antique furniture piece will have a history of repair work. And if it is badly damaged and does not function, it will not have any monetary value for resale.
****Unfortunately it is impossible to place a predetermined fixed cost for a table, chair, bookcase and so on. Each project is unique with the type of damage that has occurred and what is required to repair it which is unknown until I inspect it. Best Answer is to contact me with your questions.
