Repairs performed can be of any wooden nature and the level of repair depends on the damage.

If it’s wood - I can repair it. If there’s a piece that is too heavily damaged or missing - I can make it.

Missing hardware can be replaced and some furniture can be re-aligned back to working condition such as tables.

Finish repair can be possible depending on how deep the damage is.

Starting estimates for repairs are performed during a personal inspection and the final cost is based on Time & Materials needed for your repair.

Reproduction - making replacements for missing or heavily damaged sections. Milling, shaping, wood turning & wood carving - for spindle replacement on chairs, table legs and more.

Finish repairs & Color matching - can be cosmetic touch ups or a full refinishing.

*Will repair work decrease the value to an antique? Yes, if the incorrect methods are used!

**It is common for a true antique to have had some level of repairs & finish work. Also if your antique furniture is badly damaged and does not function - It will have very little monetary value for resale.

The goal is to repair without it looking like it was repaired.

19th Century Chair Repair

Repairing chairs could be simple to a very complex “operation”. Long ago, the seat frames were converted from canning to webbing which lead to their demise. Eight chairs total and all were saved.
